After seeing their first bid rejected by Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid have made a counteroffer for Kylian Mbappe.

Real Madrid have returned with a second bid for PSG speedster Kylian Mbappe and does not seem to give up on him.

According to Goal, Los Blancos look positive with their counteroffer of €170 million with €10 million in add-ons for Mbappe. Prior to this bid, Madrid put forth a price of €160 million earlier this week, however, PSG denied it.

Though it looks like the Spanish club will reach an agreement with the French outfit for the 22-year-old star. We all are aware that Mbappe rejected several attempts made by the club in order to renew his contract which expires at the end of the season.

The France international has also previously mentioned his immense desire to join Real Madrid. And he will do anything to achieve that success and this cannot get closer than ever. Moreover, the PSG sporting director Leonardo also commented that Mbappe wants to exit the club.

“In terms of our position on Real, it seems like a strategy to try to get a no from us, to show that they have tried everything and to wait for a year to get him for free,” Leonardo told RMC Sport.

“For the last two years, Real Madrid have been behaving like this, it is not correct, illegal even, because they contacted the player. It is unacceptable for us because it is not correct.”

PSG have asked for about €220 million for the striker, however, Madrid stand their ground and will not pay that much. Additionally, PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino and other members have the idea that Mbappe will say goodbye to the club.
