Real Madrid have got a mighty competitor in the race for the Rennes teenage sensation Eduardo Camavinga, as Paris Saint-Germain register an interest.

Camavinga has emerged as one of the most exciting up-and-coming talents following an outstanding breakthrough season at Rennes.

The 17-year-old midfielder racked up 25 Ligue 1 appearances in 2019/20. He has got off to a flying start to the new season, managing a goal and an assist in the opening two league matches.

Having already earned one cap for the senior France national team, the in-demand youngster has attracted interest from several of Europe’s juggernauts.

Real Madrid harbor a long-standing interest in Camavinga and is ready to pounce for the Rennes starlet.

Zinedine Zidane is looking to revamp his aging squad. Luka Modric and Toni Kroos have entered the fourth decade.

Therefore, Zizou is on the lookout for fresh blood to reinforce his midfield department.

But, Real Madrid are not alone in the race for Camavinga. Paris Saint-Germain are looking to provide stiff competition, according to Spanish outlet Marca.

Thomas Tuchel was full of praise for the super-talented Frenchman on Tuesday. His statement came as a back-up to Leonardo’s one from the last week.

His words are a clear indication that PSG are ready to challenge Real for Camavinga’s services.

Tuchel sees the young Frenchman as an upgrade to his current options in the center of the park.

Reigning Ligue 1 champions are ready to part ways with Julian Draxler. The German’s departure would free up a slot for a new midfielder.
