Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium was the place where Real Madrid got a visit from Deportivo Alaves in La Liga. We have the player ratings.

It was another rough night to swallow for Real Madrid against Alaves at Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium tonight. Los Blancos played this match without crucial players like Sergio Ramos or Karim Benzema, who were watching the game from the stands.

During the initial minutes of the game, Nacho committed a silly penalty that could’ve gone both ways. Lucas Perez scored a surprising opening goal for Alaves that set the tone for the remainder of the 90 minutes. This was supposed to be Eden Hazard’s night but he is simply too unlucky since he arrived at Real Madrid.

There was a clear penalty the referee didn’t see, even with VAR’s help. But his lowest moment came when he collided with Duarte and got a knock on his right ankle. Soon after this encounter, Eden quickly realized he injured himself again. The star limped off the pitch yet again as his nightmare at the club continues.

Courtois makes an unforgivable mistake.

At the start of the second half, Thibaut Courtois stained a great first-half performance with one of the dumbest mistakes of his career. He gifted Joselu with a wrongfully placed clearance that gave Alaves a 2-0 lead. It was effectively the last nail on Los Blancos’ coffin for this game despite their attempts to turn the game around.

Casemiro was able to pull one back for Zidane’s team but it happened too late in the game. With this new defeat, Real Madrid lagged behind on the table in one of their least exciting performances in recent years.
