Marcus Rashford says he was pleased with Manchester United’s attitude after they came from behind to win another Premier League match.

Rashford was the star of the day as United secured a ‘trademark’ comeback win against Sheffield United on Thursday night.

After trailing a goal down in the fifth minute, the Red Devils turned this around and settled for a 3-2 victory at Bramall Lane.

Off the pitch, Rashford was having a good day as he was the recipient of The FIFA Foundation Award.

On the pitch, it was equally his day as well. The United academy graduate scored two good goals on the evening. His first came via a composed finish after a pass from Lindelof. The second came after United went on the break for a counter-attacking move which he sealed with an easy strike past Ramsdale.

For the Red Devils, the manner in which they won meant they were the first side in Premier League history to win six consecutive away games after conceding first.

The game saw nervy final minutes for United with Sheffield coming close to an equalizer. However, Rashford was pleased to see his side hang on for a win.

“It’s football, it gets like that,” he said to the club’s website after the game.

“Once again, we go on to respond, going 1-0 behind, scoring three goals and then, of course, late on, if we don’t kill the game off, it’s going to be tough at a place like this. So, today we didn’t get anything that we didn’t expect. They fought for every ball, they wanted to win the game and they fought for 90 minutes and, you know, in the end we managed to get the three points.”

With Thursday’s result, United are up to the fifth place with a game in hand. For Rashford, the forward is now up to 12 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions this season.
