Since suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of West Brom, Christian Pulisic has been left impressed with Chelsea’s recent performances.

Christian Pulisic is impressed with the way Chelsea have put in strong performances following their recent 5-2 humbling at the hands of West Brom.

The Blues responded to that loss by claiming an important 2-0 away victory over Porto in the first leg of their quarter-final Champions League that.

Their most recent outing saw Chelsea impress again, with Pulisic bagging a brace in a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The USMNT international admits the Blues might not win all their games but he saw enough to be pleased with their character after their recent setback.

“We had an incredible start (against Crystal Palace), that’s really what set the tone for the game,” he said as per the club’s website.

“As soon as we lost the ball we were just on it today winning it back and we were able to dominate that first half.”

“The first 20 or 30 minutes felt really strong from us, it felt like we were all over them, as soon as we lost it we were getting it back, playing really aggressively with a really intense start.”

“We lost just a little bit of that intensity at the start of the second half and that allowed them to get back into the game a little bit, but in the end we finished strong.”

Pulisic added on Chelsea’s Champions League chances: “I’m feeling really confident, I’m feeling very good with the team as well. It was a big response from the last Premier League game as well.”

“We’re not going to win every game and we had a tough game against West Brom for sure. We didn’t play to our usual standard, but that’s going to happen and we were able to respond well.”

“The way we responded this week and got the results, we’re definitely happy.”
