The Blues conquered Europe last time out, and the American is hoping they can focus on achieving domestic success this term.

Christian Pulisic is eyeing a Premier League and FA Cup double with Chelsea in the coming season.

Thomas Tuchel was installed in the Stamford Bridge dugout halfway into 2020-21 after club legend Frank Lampard was ejected, and this managerial change prompted a remarkable turnaround in form for Chelsea.

The London side found themselves down low in the Premier League standings early in the previous campaign but managed to secure a fourth-place finish ultimately.

Champions League glory was attained by Tuchel’s men, who also made it to the FA Cup finals but lost out to Leicester City.

Manchester City ran away with the league crown last season, but a confident Blues side will be determined to give the titleholders a run for their money in 2021-22.

Pulisic told Standard Sport: “I don’t know if it’s totally sunk in yet, it was such an incredible achievement. It’s starting to hit us — it gives us a lot of confidence.

“To be the champions of Europe, it wasn’t an easy journey. We’ve seen now that we can compete with those top teams, so there’s no reason why we shouldn’t feel that way.

“They [City] were one of the best teams last season and to beat them a few times gives us confidence. We have such a strong squad, so I would say anything’s possible.”
