Marco Verratti could become the next European star to join the Saudi giants.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti has reportedly accepted Al Hilal’s offer over a potential summer transfer.

The Saudi giants have been among the Pro League’s top spenders this summer, adding Kalidou Koulibaly, Sergej Milinković-Savić, Ruben Neves, and Malcom to their ranks.

Kylian Mbappe rejected the club’s invitation to open transfer talks but it seems the Saudi Arabian side are closing in on signing another Paris Saint-Germain star.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Verratti has accepted Al Hilal’s offer for a three-year contract. The Sky Sports journalist claims PSG have received a €30m offer for the Italian midfielder, but they are not planning to accept it.

Verratti developed into a key player for PSG after his move from Pescara in 2012. The Italy international, who has won nine Ligue 1 trophies and six Coupe de France titles, extended his contract until 2026 last season.

Al Hilal will most likely improve their offer for Verratti while they closely follow Mbappe’s situation at the club. PSG have publicly asked Mbappe to either sign a contract extension or leave this summer. However, the Frenchman is reportedly unwilling to leave Parc des Princes for anywhere except Real Madrid.
