An Al Hilal delegation has flown to Paris amid talks of a record-breaking offer for Mbappe.

French football star Kylian Mbappe has reportedly turned down an invitation to meet with representatives from Al Hilal in Paris.

The club’s officials were granted permission by Paris St Germain (PSG) to hold talks with Mbappe after submitting a massive £259 million bid for him.

On Wednesday, an Al Hilal delegation had hoped to persuade Mbappe to join their project while they were in Paris finalizing the signing of Brazilian striker Malcom.

However, according to L’Equipe, Mbappe and his team categorically refused to engage in any discussions with the Saudi club.

Speculations about Mbappe’s future at PSG arose in June when he made it clear that he would not be extending his contract beyond 2025. This decision makes him a free agent next summer, enabling him to explore pre-contract agreements with other clubs as soon as January.

While PSG has not officially confirmed Mbappe’s rejection of Al Hilal’s approach, they seem to believe that the star has already agreed to a free transfer to Real Madrid for the following summer.

Sources from Paris suggest that the 24-year-old could receive a staggering £138 million signing-on fee if he chooses to see out his current contract and move to the Spanish capital in 2024.
