After a report from Le Parisien came yesterday, it appears PSG is finally starting to realize they won’t keep Kylian Mbappe for much longer.

When Kylian Mbappe arrived at PSG, his initial plan was to become a Real Madrid player in the future. Although Los Blancos approached the young star when he was at AS Monaco, the camp from the French capital managed to convince him to sign a 5-year deal. That was back in the summer of 2017, which was at the same time Neymar came to the club.

As the rules state, any player who has one year left on his contract can leave his current club for free. This means that if PSG doesn’t sell him before the summer of 2021, they won’t get a dime for him on a transfer. Up until yesterday, there was a clear sense of confidence from Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The chairman was convinced he could make Kylian Mbappe remain at PSG for one more season after talking him into getting a one-year extension. But a new revelation just made everything change for PSG and Kylian Mbappe’s burning desire to play at Real Madrid.

Le Parisien has the scoop.

To those who have no idea, Le Parisien is a news outlet that gets paid by the PSG owners. Every time they have inside information, it comes from the very top. A recent report reveals that the board of directors is starting to realize they won’t be able to keep their biggest star for much longer.

Although they do believe Real Madrid is one of the candidates where he could play, the outlet also confirms that the young star will go to the club that can guarantee him a Ballon d’Or trophy. The report also talks about a possible price for the forward, which would be at around €200 million.

We might be on the brink of a major negotiation between PSG and the highest bidder for a player that emerges once every generation. It might be smart for all of the club’s supporters to enjoy this new season with Mbappe still on board, it could be his last one. Real Madrid and other clubs are edging closer to Kylian.
