Kylian Mbappe has long been keen on joining Real Madrid, and Unai Emery claims it was he who talked the superstar out of his temptation.

Real Madrid’s desire to make Kylian Mbappe one of their own has been out in the open for quite some time now, with the club’s interest in the player reported ever since his AS Monaco days.

The attraction appears to mutual as Mbappe has flirted with Los Blancos in the past by confessing his admiration for two of their finest players – Cristiano Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane.

It was Paris Saint-Germain who won the lottery and landed the young forward in 2017 when he decided to leave Monaco in search of bigger challenges after leading them to Ligue 1 glory.

Regardless, he has continued to get linked with a move to Los Blancos with the underlying conjecture that they view him as a modern ‘Galactico’.

Unai Emery recently made a huge revelation that the Santiago Bernabeu indeed holds much appeal for the World Cup winner.

Emery told in an interview with Marca.”When I was in Paris, Mbappe was seriously thinking about going to Real Madrid because he likes them a lot, he was very excited to play for Madrid.

“I didn’t want him to leave and I had a conversation with him and his father to convince him that he had to stay, leaving PSG is not easy.”
