The Parisians are considering a shock move for Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich this winter.

Paris Saint-Germian have reportedly started their efforts to sign Bayern Munich’s Joshua Kimmich amid interest from Liverpool.

Kimmich has developed into a linchpin of Bayern’s squad since joining the club from Stuttgart in 2015. His performances have recently caught the attention of Liverpool, who are looking for a versatile player to complete their midfield rebuild under Jurgen Klopp. However, it seems the Reds are now facing competition for Kimmich’s signature from one of the wealthiest clubs in Europe.

According to Sky Germany, PSG are working “very concretely and intensively” on bringing Kimmich to Parc des Princes. The midfielder is reportedly among Luis Enrique’s top transfer targets, with the club hoping to complete a move as soon as this month.

Kimmich’s current deal at Bayern is set to expire in 2025, with the German giants already coming under pressure to sell him. However, Bayern are unlikely to agree to a deal for Kimmich until the summer, as it would be very difficult to find a replacement for him mid-season.

Kimmich has made a total of 367 appearances for Bayern, registering 100 assists and 41 goals. The German international has won eight Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokal trophies and the Champions League at Allianz Arena.
