It looks like England is next destination for the 21-year-old hitman, who is arguably the most in-demand player on the planet.

Premier League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool are “strong candidates” to sign Erling Haaland next summer, according to Diario Madridista.

An intense bidding war is expected to commence sooner rather than later for Haaland, who is strongly expected to depart Borussia Dortmund after this season.

The Norwegian sensation’s stock has soared exponentially ever since his move to the German Bundesliga from the Austrian Bundesliga. In just over a year and a half with Dortmund, he has racked up extraordinary numbers, scoring 43 goals in 46 league games and an additional 12 goals in just 10 Champions League appearances.

It is, therefore, no surprise that the European powerhouses are chasing the ex-Salzburg star, with Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Manchester United all supposedly keen on securing his services.

However, it appears the latter two are in pole position to land Haaland – or at least that is what is reported by the Spanish outlet Diario Madridista.

Man United have ample attacking options as it is, especially after they brought back Cristiano Ronaldo, but that doesn’t stop them from signing a player who could lead their line for years to come.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have two potent attackers in Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, but the pair aren’t getting any younger and are approaching their twilight years. Also, Haaland’s goalscoring prowess by far exceeds Roberto Firmino‘s, who currently operates as their No. 9.
