A strongly-built center-back feels he has the right attributes to thrive in the English top-flight, which he also feels is the best world’s best league.

Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah has attracted interest from abroad in the past, mainly from the Premier League.

The German has been a reliable presence at the heart of Leverkusen’s defense, raking in five appearances in Bundesliga and as many in the Europa League so far this season.

Leicester City were reportedly keen on acquiring his services in the previous transfer window while a move to Arsenal was also being mooted.

Liverpool, who could dip in the January market to bring in a replacement for the injured Virgil van Dijk, have also been linked with the signing of the 24-year-old.

With a number of English suitors, Tah could see himself playing in the Premier League in the future and is confident that he’d be a good fit there.

“The Premier League appeals to me, it has always been like that,” he said in an interview with Goal and SPOX.

“I always had the feeling that my style of play would suit England well. The physicality of the league and the need to think quickly are qualities that suit my game.

“Opinions differ as to which league is the best in the world – for me, it’s the Premier League.”
