Dejan Kulusevski fell victim to a late challenge from Lewis Dunk during Tottenham’s Premier League game against Brighton.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou is hopeful Dejan Kulusevski is not injured after the 4-2 loss to Brighton on Thursday.
In the build-up to Alejo Veliz’s goal for Spurs, Kulusevski was on the receiving end of a Lewis Dunk’s challenge. The 23-year-old finished the game though, leaving Postecoglou confident that there will be no repercussions.
“I think [he’s OK], we’re checking him out,” the Spurs boss said after the match on Kulusevski’s condition.
Regardless, Kulusevski will miss Sunday’s trip to Bournemouth to serve a suspension for five yellow cards. He picked up his fifth card in the match against Brighton.
The former Juventus star has been a key player for Postecoglou, starting in all 19 of the club’s Premier League games this season. He has scored five goals and made two assists.
His absence this weekend will be a blow for Tottenham, who were without nine senior players in Brighton.
