The Seagulls returned to winning ways with an incredible victory over Tottenham.
Brighton defeated Tottenham 4-2 in their Premier League game on Thursday. An excellent attacking display ensured the Seagulls’ win over their in-form opponents.
What happened?
Brighton’s stellar start to the game paid off when Jack Hinshelwood put them ahead in the 11th minute. Spurs pushed to get back into the game with a quick equalizer, but it was Brighton who doubled their lead only ten minutes later.
This time, Joao Pedro converted a penalty after Dejan Kulusevski’s foul on Danny Welbeck inside the box. The goal forced Tottenham to put more bodies forward as they pushed to score their first goal of the night before break.
Despite making a few serious goalscoring chances through Richarlison and Pedro Porro, the Spurs failed to score, only for their opponents to restart their deadly attacks in the second half.
First, Pervis Estupinan made it 3-0 for the hosts with a stunning curler from behind the box. Brighton then increased their lead through another Joao Pedro penalty in the 75th minute.
Tottenham pulled two goals back through Alejo Veliz and Ben Davies in the final ten minutes of the game. But it was already too late for the visitors to mount a comeback.

Pedro made an incredible display for the Seagulls as they defeated Tottenham at Amex Stadium. The Brazilian star scored twice for the hosts after providing an assist for Hinshelwood’s opening goal.
