The Portuguese superstar is set for homecoming, and he will be determined to mark his return to his old stomping ground with a victory.
The Champions League, after two very entertaining ones on Tuesday, delights us with two more enthralling fixtures on Wednesday: Sevilla vs Borussia Dortmund & FC Porto vs Juventus.
Here, we will cover the latter which is set to take place at the third-largest stadium in Portugal, the Estadio do Dragao, and will kick off at 8 PM GMT.
The Portuguese champions reached the Last-16 by finishing as runners-up in Group C behind Manchester City.
The Italian titleholders, meanwhile, progressed to the first knockout stage by topping Group G – a group that also had FC Barcelona.
Porto vs Juventus Form:
Porto lost only of their six group stage games, picking up 13 points out of a possible 18.
While that is praiseworthy, the fact that they are winless in their four fixtures across all competitions is worrying.
The Dragons faced Boavista last time out after back-to-back clashes against SC Braga, once in the Primeira Liga and in Taca de Portugal the second time, and all three of them ended in a draw.
Sergio Conceicao’s men, though, are yet to concede a goal at home in this competition this season and the fact that they have scored 43 league goals proves that are a great attacking threat.
Juventus will also not enter the match with the highest of morale, having not tasted victory in each of their previous two matches and failing to score in either.
However, the fact that they won six games in a row prior to that, recording five clean sheets during that run, should be a little calming.
What will be more calming is the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo, the undisputed king of the Champions League. Ronaldo, as ever, is in red-hot form this season, with 26 direct goal contributions in as many appearances across all competitions.
Porto vs Juventus Head-to-head:
The Italian giants are unbeaten against their Portuguese opponents in their four previous competitive meetings, winning three of those.
Juventus claimed a 3-0 aggregate victory in their latest encounter in the 2016-17 Champions League Round of 16.
Porto vs Juventus Team News:
Otavio will be unavailable with a muscle injury for the hosts and so will be full-backs Nanu and Zaidu Sanusi.
As for the visitors, Paulo Dybala will be a major absentee while Juan Cuadrado, Aaron Ramsey, and Arthur will also miss the match.
