The World Cup winner has emphasized the winning mentality that the Red Devils need to carry heading into a crucial week of the season.

Manchester United pay a visit to RB Leipzig on Tuesday night in what will be a decisive contest for their Champions League future.

The English side sit atop Group H after five rounds but still await qualification into the last 16. It is their +6 goal difference that keeps them above Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig, with all three teams level on nine points.

Avoiding defeat is a must for United if they wish to go further and content for the most prestigious club prize.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will have little time to rest after their European adventure as, just three days later, they play in one of the most eagerly-anticipated Premier League fixtures.

On Saturday, they play host to arch-rivals Manchester City. A win would then see them begin to breathe down the necks of the other title contenders.

The Red Devils head into the decisive week with high morale, having recorded their fifth successive away win of the season after fighting back and beating West Ham 3-1.

“It has to be inside. I mean, always. We cannot afford to lose and be happy with a loss or a draw,” Paul Pogba told MUTV, highlighting the importance of a winning mentality.

“We have to be bad losers – that’s what we have to be – and always want to win. Even 1-0 or 6-5, we have to win. That’s what we want.”

“We have Champions League and we have City. We know that those are two very important games, decisive games.

“We have to carry on this mentality of winning, always.”
