Paris Saint-Germain head coach Mauricio Pochettino provided an injury update on Neymar ahead of their second leg against Barcelona.
Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar could potentially come back to play the return fixture against Barcelona in the Champions League on Wednesday. Mauricio Pochettino informed about the same during a press conference on Friday.
The Brazil international did not see himself in the playing squad for the Coupe de France match against Brest on Saturday. But the 29-year-old initiated partial training this week and Pochettino is delighted to have him back with speeding recovery.
Neymar has been missing action since February 10 when he sustained an injury in the 1-0 cup win over Caen. Moreover, he also could not participate in the 4-1 thrashing of his former club at Camp Nou.
The Argentinian tactician said: “He will not be here tomorrow but we are very happy with his development and we will see in the days to come if he can be part of the squad against Barcelona.”
