The PSG frontman has had a rough week due to problem in his private life, and the turmoil saw him miss his side’s European fixture on Tuesday.

Mauro Icardi is back in contention to feature in Paris Saint-Germain’s Ligue 1 match against Marseille on Sunday, Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed.

Icardi was recently accused by his wife Wanda Nara of cheating on her. Wanda, who is also the PSG player’s agent, took to social media to vent her frustration, with a message on her Instagram last Saturday reading: ‘Another family you have ruined for a s***’.

A second post showed up on Wanda’s Instagram on Monday which read: ‘Good day. I prefer my hand without a ring on it.’

Amid the turbulence in his private life, the former Inter Milan man missed Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-2 Champions League win over RB Leipzig on Tuesday.

As it turns out, however, the couple, who have two daughters together, worked on setting their differences aside and have now reconciled, with the Argentine striker taking to social media to thank his wide for “continuing to believe in this beautiful family.”

“Mauro is a strong player psychologically. He is good and available to be part of the team,” Pochettino confirmed in Saturday’s pre-match press conference (via Marca).

“He has been training with us after the game against Leipzig and will be in the squad for tomorrow’s Classique.

“It is clear that the club are looking the player, from the president to the players. We are all there to help him at any time.”
