Ahead of a fresh week in Ligue 1, Mauricio Pochettino wanted to offer an update on Neymar’s injury recovery and his possible availability.

Neymar is apparently doing well on his injury recovery, at least that’s what Mauricio Pochettino just told us. With two weeks left before FC Barcelona travels to Paris to face PSG, it is clear the French giants want to have Neymar ready for this game at any cost. He got injured a few weeks back and missed his return to Camp Nou Stadium. Pochettino didn’t really need him because Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick but he sure wants him recovered ASAP.

Neymar is possibly one of the most talented players in PSG’s history and his influence on the pitch is unquestionable. There have been a lot of rumors about his commitment to the club and his off-the-pitch lifestyle. However, the club always finds a way to express their total support to one of the world’s biggest football stars. That and they also want him to sign a contract extension that will keep him at the club until the end of his career.

Pochettino’s encouraging news about Neymar.

As expected, Neymar is probably going to be available in time to get a call-up for the Champions League match against Barcelona. Initially, he was supposed to miss more than a month of all competitions but his recovery has been fairly quick. To those who don’t remember, Neymar suffered a muscular injury after a challenge from an opponent hurt his lower thigh.

Mauricio Pochettino offered details on the player’s recovery process and his daily routine that is currently ahead of schedule. “Neymar has been training very well, he looks good physically,” Mauricio Pochettino told the press on Friday via Goal. “He’s on track to return as predicted. He’s been on the grass running and doing exercises. He was in very good spirits.” Will Neymar make it in time to face Barcelona?
