Amid rumors of a summer move to Real Madrid for Mbappe, Pochettino has vowed to do everything to keep the PSG star.

Mauricio Pochettino has vowed to ‘fight with all my energies’ to keep Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain.

As talks over a contract extension between Mbappe and PSG make little progress, Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a move.

Mbappe has only a year left on his current deal, and it’s alleged he is reluctant to commit long-term to PSG. However, Pochettino remains hopeful of a new deal for the Frenchman and fellow star forward Neymar.

“Mbappé to Real Madrid? I’ll fight with all my energies to keep Kylian here at PSG,” the PSG boss told El Larguero.

“PSG are doing everything possible to keep Neymar and Mbappe.

“I am equally optimistic that Mbappe will stay. They both have a huge commitment.”

Despite securing Mbappe and Neymar on long-term deals being the priority, PSG are still keen to sign more talent.

Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos and Barcelona’s six-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi, who will both be out of contract in the summer, are reportedly at the top of the club’s transfer list.

“Surely soon it will be known what happens with Leo Messi future and contract,” said Pochettino.

He added: “Sergio Ramos? I don’t like to talk about players who are not in my team.

“There are a lot of rumours… here at PSG we’re working to improve the team.”
