Pochettino: “It’s been five days but it feels like I’ve been here for a year”

Mauricio Pochettino spoke about his short experience as Paris Saint-Germain’s new boss.

Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino had a great start to his year. The Argentine was recently announced as Paris Saint-Germain’s new head coach. It marks Pochettino’s return, as he had played for Les Parisiens from the year 2000 till 2003. Ahead of this Saturday night’s fixture, Pochettino expressed his happiness for his return.

“It will be a special night, almost 20 years since I played my last game with this shirt, it will be special. It’ll be different because our fans won’t be out there. That is something we greatly miss but it will be a special night for me.”

Moreover, the Argentinian manager spoke about how he felt after his first week back at the club.

“We were talking earlier with the coaching staff, my family and certain players that it feels like we’ve been working here for a year when it has only been five days. It’s very special and I’m very happy to return to Paris Saint-Germain”

Mauricio Pochettino will be coaching his first game back at Parc des Princes this Saturday night against Brest, as PSG attempt to reach first place at Ligue 1.
