According to a report, PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has identified Man City’s Sergio Aguero as his top transfer target for the summer.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly ready to make a move for City star Sergio Aguero by the end of the season.

The Argentine is out of contract with the Citizens in the summer and can already start discussing pre-contracts with foreign clubs.

While speaking on Canal+, reputable agent Bruno Satin claimed that Pochettino already has Aguero as the club’s ‘transfer priority’.

The 32-year-old could be the latest superstar forward to join PSG, with the likes of Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, Angel Di Maria, and Mauro Icardi already at the club.

As per The Athletic, City are yet to hold concrete talks with Aguero regarding a stay at the club. However, it is believed the player is keen on a stay at the Etihad.

Aguero has struggled with injury problems this season, with his fitness woes limiting the striker to just nine appearances in all competitions so far.

However, City’s record scorer could be handed a start in their upcoming FA Cup clash with Birmingham City on Sunday.

The report adds that lack of game time is currently an issue for Aguero and he could move elsewhere if he is given that guarantee.

It is also worth noting that Pochettino is also Argentine and that could perhaps make discussions easier between both parties.
