Andrea Pirlo has called on his Juve players to adopt the right mentality as they prepare to face Inter in the return leg of the Coppa Italia.

Andrea Pirlo wants his Juventus players to be mentally prepared as they plan to take on Inter Milan in a big game on Tuesday.

The Bianconeri won the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final by a 2-1 score-line at San Siro last week. A brace from Cristiano Ronaldo secured a come-back win for Juve against their rivals.

However, the tie is far from over with the second leg of the fixture yet to be played.

Juventus will welcome Inter to their home turf and Pirlo is already expecting a difficult game.

Despite going into the game with a 2-1 advantage, the Juve boss wants his side to take that fixture like a ‘final’.

“We have to play as Juve, just as we are doing in the last few games,” Pirlo told Juventus TV.

“Tomorrow is the second round of a great challenge, the final is a goal that we must achieve at all costs and it will be a and difficult game.”

“We will start with the attitude of not having the advantage: we consider it as a one-off final and we will play it as an aggressive team that knows what it wants to achieve, the goal is too important to let it slip away.”

Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi were suspended for Inter last week, but are expected to start for the Nerazzurri. Pirlo will expect a better performance from the Nerazzurri following the return of their star players.

“They are crucial for Inter, we know their characteristics well and we should be very concentrated,” he added.

The qualifying side after Tuesday’s game will face the winner between Napoli and Atalanta for the Coppa Italia final.
