Juventus boss Andrea Pirlo praised his side’s right ‘attitude’ against SPAL as they strolled to a victory and to the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

Andrea Pirlo watched in delight from the sidelines as Juventus eased to a 4-0 win over SPAL on Wednesday night.

The Bianconeri were expected to dispatch their Serie B opponents, and the game more or less followed the script.

Alvaro Morata and Frabotta scored in the first half before Kulusevski and Chiesa completed the rout for a comfortable win.

Pirlo was happy to see Juventus take on SPAL with much intensity from the first minute.

“Our objective was to get through and we did it against a team that has done well this season in both the Coppa Italia and their league,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“It was important that we take them on with conviction and we did that from the first minute.”

Pirlo and Juventus will now face familiar foes in Inter Milan in one of the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

“We meet again. We’re happy, because our objective is to win the Coppa Italia, so we’ll prepare next week,” he added.

The Juventus boss is also hopeful veteran goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon can continue at the club next season.

“We hope so,” replied Pirlo.

“He’s in good shape, is proving every day that he can still play football and we’ll all be very happy if he continues to do so.”
