Manchester City players dominate as the Professional Footballers’ Association reveal their best XI of the season.

Six players from Manchester City, two from Manchester United, as many from Tottenham, and one from Liverpool have been named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

An influx of Man City stars in the best XI of 2020/21 does not come as a surprise considering their domination in the Premier League. Pep Guardiola’s men cruised to a third title triumph in four years with a huge 12-point margin over the runners-up.

What is surprising, however, is the absence of even a single Chelsea representative despite the Blues winning the Champions League and making it to the FA Cup final.

Ederson, who won the Golden Glove after keeping 19 clean sheets in 36 matches, gets the nod in goal.

In defense, Joao Cancelo and Luke Shaw take up the full-back positions while Ruben Dias and John Stones fit into the center-back spots.

Bruno Fernandes, who notched up 18 goals and 12 assists in 37 league appearances, is paired alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan in midfield.

Leading the line is Harry Kane, who won the Golden Boot for his 23 efforts in the English top-flight, with Son Heung-min and Mohamed Salah as his attacking partners.
