Former Nigerian international Daniel Amokachi has hailed fellow countryman Victor Oshimen and tagged him a ‘striker any club would love to have’.

Victor Osimhen scored a crucial goal for Napoli that secured a narrow win over Bologna in Serie A on Sunday afternoon.

He headed in a cross from Hirving Lozano to give his side the lead in the 23rd minute.

The 21-year-old who moved to Naples from the French side Lille has impressed since joining the Italian outfit with his overall play this season.

Osimhen is yet to hit full gear but has shown glimpses of what he’s all about with 2 goals in 6 league games so far this season.

Amokachi, who thinks highly of the 21-year-old, believes that health will play a major role in determining the Nigeria international success as a footballer.

“We all know he is a quality player no doubt about that. He is a No. 9 any club would love to have in their team,” Amokachi told Goal.

“The future is in his hands and injury-free, he will keep flying.”

Napoli are currently third in Serie A as Gattuso’s men continue their strong start to the season with Oshimen paying a major role in the team.

Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso has so far warned the Nigerian would have to ease in at the club and not much should be expected of him at this stage of his Napoli career.
