An easy win over Osasuna saw Real Madrid go 17 points clear at the top of the league table.

Real Madrid defeated Osasuna in their La Liga game on Wednesday. The Blancos claimed their fourth league win in a row with a dominant performance.

Real Madrid 4 points away from La Liga title!

The Blancos came into the game on the back of their incredible comeback against Sevilla last week. However, this time they started to storm their opponents with attacks from both flanks right from the start.

Following a few half-chances, David Alaba opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 12th minute. However, the hosts bounced back with an instant equalizer only a minute later.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side immediately started their efforts to reclaim the one-goal lead. However, they didn’t manage to score their second goal of the night until the 45th minute.

Following a perfect cross from Eduardo Camavinga, the Osasuna keeper managed to save Dani Ceballos’ initial shot. However, Marco Asensio was there to nod the ball home from close range just before the interval.

Real Madrid had two penalty chances to double their lead before the hour-mark. But Karim Benzema missed both spot-kicks as Osasuna retained their hopes of a potential comeback.

The hosts pushed to find an equalizer throughout the second period, but Real Madrid’s dominant performance in midfield limited their attacking possibilities.

It was the Blancos who scored the game’s next goal through Lucas Vazquez. The in-form defender converted Vinicius Junior’s low cross with a preside strike to make it 3-1 for Real Madrid in the 96th minute.

What’s next for Real Madrid?

Ancelotti’s side are now only four points away from securing this season’s La Liga title. However, before continuing their league campaign, the Blancos must return to the Champions League on Tuesday.

Real Madrid will face Manchester City in the first leg of their semi-final tie. Let’s see if they can build on their sensational win over Chelsea and eliminate another Premier League giant on their road to the Champions League final.
