Inter Milan have confirmed the signing of Arturo Vidal on a permanent deal, with the player committing to a two-year contract.

Former Juventus player Arturo Vidal has finally made his return to Serie A after five years of absence.

The Chile international enjoyed a wealth of success during his four seasons at Juventus before moving abroad.

His resume only gained more shine thereafter as he went on to add to it three Bundesliga and a La Liga winners’ medal, among other domestic honors, with Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona.

Now at Inter, the 33-year old will support his former boss Antonio Conte’s vision of ending his former team Juve’s domestic supremacy.

The midfielder leaves Spain after 96 games, 11 goals, and 10 assists across all competitions during his two-year stint with the Catalans.

Vidal signed a contract worth €6 million per year that will run until 2022, as per Goal, after his switch from Barcelona in a transfer worth a meager €1 million was finalized on Monday.

A statement on the club’s official website read: “Arturo Vidal is officially an Inter player.

“The Chilean midfielder has joined Inter on a permanent deal from FC Barcelona. From today, Vidal will be on the front line for the Nerazzurri, with the same objectives as ever: fighting, giving it his all, and winning.

“It’s confirmed. He’s arrived in Milan, and he’s a Nerazzurri player. Welcome to Inter, Arturo!”
