Raul Jimenez underwent surgery last week after fracturing his skull after a horrific collision at the Wolverhampton-Arsenal Premier League match.

Wolves have issued a statement on the Mexican striker’s condition. Jimenez has officially been discharged from the hospital a week after his brain surgery.

The 29-year-old is now resting with his family at home and will begin his recovery after sustaining a fractured skull from a nasty head collision with David Luiz.

The Mexican was sorely missed by all fans and club last Sunday. Wolves suffered a harsh 4-0 defeat against Liverpool. Jimenez has hit the net four times in ten Premier Leagues matches for the Wanderers this season.

There are concerns that the striker may not be able to return to professional football. However, Nuno Espirito Santo assured everyone he was confident the player will be able to continue his career.

Raul Jimenez has received outpouring support from his teammates: “At the moment, we’re just happy that everything is going alright, but there’s still a long way to go and we just hope and pray that everything will be alright with him.”, said captain Conor Coady.

Moreover, they went on to the pitch last Sunday wearing jerseys with Raul’s name and number.
