The returning fans were in for a treat as they witnessed the Reds extend their unbeaten home streak to 65 games with a resounding win.

It’s as if Liverpool are not without their best defender, their first-choice goalkeeper, and a few other important members of the squad.

The Reds put Wolves to the sword in an emphatic fashion as Mohamed Salah, Gerginio Wijnaldum, Joel Matip, and an unfortunate Nelson Semedo all contributed to the cause in the 4-0 victory.

A couple of thousand fans got to witness the champions extended their unbeaten run at home to 65 matches – the second-best in the English top-flight history after Chelsea‘s 86 between 2004 and 2008.

Salah was handed a golden opportunity to hand his side the lead when the ball landed right in his path after Conor Coady’s failed clearance attempt. The Egyptian took it with both hands, as, after taking a gentle touch, he rifled it in the back of the net.

In the second half, Jurgen Klopp’s men hit full gear. Wijnaldum doubled his side’s lead with a beautiful curling effort into the top corner before from 20 yards before Matip headed in the third about ten minutes later.

A Trent Alexander-Arnold cross had Semedo and Sadio Mane challenge for the ball, but it comes off of the latter and slips past Rui Patricio.
