Thomas Tuchel has snubbed an important player ahead of his first match as Chelsea’s lead manager.

Former PSG manager Thomas Tuchel will make his debut as Chelsea’s boss this Wednesday afternoon against Wolves. The German will attempt to get the Blues closer to the Premier League’s European spot.

In order to achieve that, Chelsea will need to surpass an under-performing Wolves team. The Wanderers are currently going through a rough patch and are yet to win a single league match this year. In fact, their last Premier League win was against Frank Lampard’s Blues in December.

Nevertheless, Tuchel will try to take advantage of Nuno Espirito Santo’s troubles and begin his Premiership career in the best way possible. However, the 47-year-old manager has reportedly ruled one important player out of his very first-team selection in London.

Earlier this Wednesday afternoon, The Sun had reported that Mason Mount had been dropped from this Wednesday’s starting XI. This occurs after the player had 10 consecutive starts for Chelsea under Lampard’s management. Now, the news have been confirmed as Chelsea dropped the official squad that will face Wolves.

Speculation on Tuchel’s motive has naturally begun to surface on social media. Although some believe this may just be a routine rest, others claim that Super Frank’s love for Mason Mount may not be shared by the Blues’ new boss.

The 22-year-old midfielder captained Chelsea at Lampard’s last match with the club, which makes his sudden relegation to the bench even a harder pill for Mount to swallow.
