After seven successful years in Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur announced that Gareth Bale returns on a one-season loan from Spain.

It’s been a tough last couple of years for Gareth Bale, he can finally tell the world that he left Real Madrid for Tottenham Hotspur. The Welsh player had a toxic relationship with the club and the supporters. Since his title-winning performance against Liverpool in 2018, something broke inside Bale’s mind.

Too many injuries can do that to a player, he knew that his chances of becoming the new Cristiano Ronaldo at the club were non-existent. That’s exactly when he should’ve left the club, but he decided to remain and stain his already brilliant career. Tottenham is where he always saw himself returning, it took him seven years to return but he finally did it. The Welshman comes to play for the Spurs as one of the most successful British footballers in history.

Bale might never return to Real Madrid.

Although he comes to Tottenham on a loan for a single season, we can already tell you that the odds of him going back to Madrid are slim. The forward doesn’t feel his career must continue with the Spanish giants. There is no question that he will try to convince Daniel Levy to buy him back after one season.

However, the road to becoming a permanent player at the club won’t be easy. The first order of business is to leave behind all those injuries. Gareth came back to North London and he will have to wait for a month to play due to a new muscular problem.

This is a dynamic that needs to stop, Jose Mourinho has a lot of work to do with Gareth’s psychology as it relates to injuries. For now, the Spurs’ fans can celebrate the prodigal son’s return but he needs to deliver results. By the way, Gareth decided to wear the number ‘9’ jersey in this new chapter at Tottenham.
