The son of a major Dutch legend has been confirmed by German club, RB Leipzig on a one-year loan from AS Roma today.

RB Leipzig is usually a club that makes great decisions, they just signed the son of a Dutch football legend on a one-year loan. We are talking about Roma winger, Justin Kluivert. Patrick Kluivert’s son had an impressive debut as a professional for AFC Ajax but his light dimmed down at AS Roma.

It appears Italian football might not be the best option for Justin after all, which is why he decided to play in the Bundesliga. RB Leipzig just released Timo Werner from their ranks and they were looking for a proper replacement. After Pedro arrived at Roma from Chelsea, Justin saw this opportunity and he took it.

The Dutch youngster knew he wasn’t going to get minutes if he remained in Rome. With the final goal of making the Dutch National Team call-up list for the Euros, Justin decided to sign with a club where he would play. Germany is a perfect place for young talents to keep evolving in order to become international superstars.

Justin’s final objective, La Liga or the Premier League.

It’s well known that Patrick Kluivert is one of Barcelona’s most important footballers from the Louis van Gaal era. His son’s ultimate goal was always to play for the Catalan club but his time in Rome delayed his wishes. After this loan spell with RB Leipzig, Justin will have a chance to pick a new destination.

Although the Spanish La Liga remains a possible option for him, the English Premier League is also an appealing choice for him. For now, Kluivert will have to grind his way out of obscurity and attempt to shine in the German Bundesliga.
