Paris Saint Germain has confirmed that Keylor Navas will not be available for the Champions League semi-final.
The club revealed that the former Real Madrid man had sustained a right thigh strain. It now appears that the injury is more serious than first expected.
The French Champions today announced he would not feature in Tuesday’s game against RB Leipzig.
A statement from the club’s official website read:
“Keylor Navas is continuing his care and rehabilitation after his right thigh injury. His gradual return to the field is expected on Thursday. He is not available for the semi-final on Tuesday.”
The injury will more than likely mean a call up for Sergio Rico.
Thomas Tuchel will be hoping his team can pull off a victory without the experienced shot-stopper and have him fit for the final.
Will no Navas really help RB Leipzig, or is stopping the likes Neymar and Mbappe still their priority?
