Just as Thomas Tuchel thought he was all good on the injury front, the list of Paris Saint Germain players on the treatment table doubled.

Thomas Tuchel thought his PSG side were looking good after beating Atalanta to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The return from injury of talisman Kylian Mbappe had the German tactician in dream land, with a place in the semi-finals secured and a full strength team.

Or so he thought.

He knew that Layvin Kurzawa would be a long shot, but he was hopeful of Marco Verratti.

Now it appears that Verratti is still an unknown quantity, and worse still he has come out the Atalanta clash with two more on the treatment table.

The club’s official website confirmed that goalkeeper Keylor Navas and defender Thiago Silva are both now in doubt for Tuesday’s clash for a place in the final.

The statement read:

“Keylor Navas walked out of the game on Wednesday night with right hamstring pain on a clearance. Clinical examination and MR confirmed lesion of the biceps femoris. A clinical reassessment will be made on Saturday but participation in Tuesday’s game is uncertain.”

“Thiago Silva finished the match with a contracture of the right hamstrings whose clinical examination and MRI confirm a low-grade lesion and optimism for participation on Tuesday.”

“Marco Verratti continues his daily work in the pool and on the bike. A reassessment will be made on Saturday.”

“Layvin Kurzawa continues his recovery program indoors and on the field.”
