As one of the most recent transfer confirmations, Man United announced they are signing one of Serie A’s most coveted young talents.

Man United is finally starting to make announcements on transfer deadline day, they just confirmed the arrival of a talented young winger from Serie A. We are talking about the Ivorian sensation from Atalanta, Amad Traore Diallo. A young star who recently made his debut for the Italian underdogs and has been followed by several clubs for years.

The Red Devils are amongst the giant institutions that were keeping tabs on him. Diallo will remain at Atalanta for the first half of the season, only to arrive in January for a reported €40 million. Despite not being able to sign top players like Jadon Sancho, Amad is still an exciting prospect for the future and should have supporters excited. With him and Edinson Cavani confirmed, United’s transfer window doesn’t seem that terrible after all.

Man United’s official confirmation.

The Red Devils issued a statement where they talk about Amad Diallo’s arrival and the details of the deal: “Manchester United have reached an agreement with Atalanta for the future transfer of Amad Diallo, one of the most exciting young prospects in Italian football.

“The 18-year-old Ivorian right-winger has been on the radar of United scouts since 2016, when he was spotted playing at Under-15 level, and the club have been tracking his progress since. Diallo scored on his Serie A debut in the first of three first-team appearances last season, after rising through the youth ranks at Atalanta.

“He will join United at a later date, subject to medical, personal terms and work permit. The move follows the capture of Brazil full-back Alex Telles from Porto earlier in the day.”
