Midfielder Dani Ceballos has rejoined Arsenal for a second successive season-long loan from Real Madrid.

Dani Ceballos will continue as an Arsenal player for next season after extending his loan-deal with the club.

The Spaniard joined the Gunners last summer in a loan-move from Real Madrid. He enjoyed a bright start to his Arsenal career before injuries stopped him in his stride towards the end of last year.

Regardless, Ceballos returned from injury to stake a claim as one of Arsenal’s key players.

Post lock-down, he was one of the most consistent Gunners’ stars with a couple of key performances to go with. He also scored an important FA Cup quarter-final winner in a competition the North London side would go on to win.

After much uncertainty over his future ahead of next season, it’s been confirmed Ceballos will continue his adventure at the Emirates.

Technical director Edu said to the club’s website: “We’re thrilled to have Dani back with us for the new season.”

“We all know his qualities after an impressive 2019/2020 campaign, which ended with him playing a key role in our FA Cup success. We’re excited to add Dani to the list of quality players we are bringing in.”

Arteta added: “Dani was and integral part of our team last season and finished the season in excellent form. I love Dani’s passion and commitment and he’s a highly skilful player.”

“We’re all delighted to welcome him back and we look forward to seeing him pick up where he left off.”

Ceballos featured 37 times in total for Arsenal last season and will look to make another good impression next term.
