As per a report from Telefoot, Neymar has two very specific conditions in order to agree on a new contract with PSG for the next few years.

Neymar is closer than ever to signing a new contract with PSG. We reported yesterday that the Brazilian star is finally convinced that his best options to keep winning titles remain in Paris. This obviously includes fighting to win the UEFA Champions League in the upcoming years.

However, the final decision still hasn’t been made by the player. In order to take that last step towards continuity, Neymar has two conditions that he conveyed to the club. As per Telefoot, the player approached Leonardo directly to tell him about his demands. The Brazilian sporting director received Neymar in his office to discuss the details of his contract extension.

This leaves no room for interpretation of the player’s future. There is no question that Neymar’s plan is to continue playing at PSG for at least another three years. But first, the club needs to keep a couple of promises to the player.

Neymar’s conditions to remain at PSG.

The first and most important condition has to do with how competitive PSG remains in the next few years. Knowing that Kylian Mbappe will probably leave next summer, Neymar wants reassurances of other great stars coming to the club. This obviously gets into tricky territory and speculation on the possible arrivals of other stars such as Ronaldo or Messi. But Neymar took it a step further, he wants to pick some of the players who will sign for PSG in the coming seasons.

The other condition is very simple but very important for Neymar. Even though the world is going through an economic crisis, he doesn’t want his wage to get reduced. The star agreed to not ask for a raise but he also refused to get a pay cut when he signs his new contract. If PSG can manage to fulfill those promises to the player, he will agree to that extension.
