One of Barcelona’s presidential candidates still thinks Neymar wants to return to FC Barcelona, he revealed his agents told him he is keen.

Neymar’s return to FC Barcelona has been one of the Catalan club’s most elusive subjects ever since he left the institution. Presidency candidate Emili Rousaud is still adamant about the possibility to get the Brazilian back at the club as he tries to get elected. In a recent interview on Marca, he allegedly revealed information about Neymar’s representatives. After leaving to play for PSG, Neymar got into a legal battle with FC Barcelona over an unfinished payment of his contract.

This brought a lot of trouble for the Brazilian with a certain part of the fans but most of them want him to play at the club again. With this in mind, a number of presidential candidates are trying to do what they can to convince him to return. Obviously, Neymar would have to drop his ongoing case in the court against Barcelona. Emili Rousaud revealed what his plan is for Neymar. He also spoke about how he would tackle Lionel Messi’s wages if he got elected president.

Rousaud’s plans to get Neymar and Messi together.

During a presentation of his book, Rousaud outlines his plans through Marca: “Neymar would like to return to Barcelona, his representatives have told us,” Rousaud said of Neymar. “A transfer can’t be done; Barcelona don’t have the financial capability now. It will be when his contract expires.” “We’ll ask him to retract his demands,” he continued.

“Talented players have to play in a big league.” “Leo’s wages are not acceptable at the moment,” he said. “He’s given more to the club than any other player in its history. He’s priceless. We won’t talk to the player until we’re in power. But the person that brought him to Barcelona, Josep Maria Minguella, is part of my bid.”
