The Brazilian star has found an incredible start to the new season at PSG.

Neymar has hailed Kyle Walker as the toughest opponent he has faced during his career.

The Brazil international faced Walker when City and PSG locked horns in the group stage of last season’s Champions League.

City won the first game 2-1 at Etihad before PSG beat them 2-0 on home soil. Neymar didn’t score in any of the games despite engaging in several one-on-one challenges with Walker.

“He’s fast, intelligent and strong,” he said of Walker after picking him as his toughest-ever opponent.

Neymar has been unstoppable since the start of the new season. The former Barcelona star has shut down his critics by scoring ten goals and providing seven assists in his nine appearances for PSG.

Neymar’s current form reminds football fans of the time when he was compared to Lionel Messi during his Barca spell.

However, the 30-year-old believes his teammate has a special place in football history.

“Playing alongside Leo was a unique experience and we became friends,” he told DAZN.

“Of those I’ve seen play, Messi is the best in history.”

Messi and Neymar combined for PSG’s brilliant match-winner against Brest on Saturday. Next up, the Parisians will take on Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League on Wednesday.
