Gary Neville has named three players he believes can end Manchester United’s long wait for another Premier League title.

Harry Kane, Jadon Sancho, and Raphael Varane are Gary Neville’s chosen ones to restore Manchester United back to winning ways.

The Red Devils finished second in the Premier League this season for only the second time since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013. To be fair, though, progress has been made. After all, United have sealed back-to-back top-three finishes for the first time in eight seasons.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men can also end a four-year wait for silverware by beating Villarreal in Wednesday’s Europa League final.

But with a 12-point gap to winners Manchester City in the Premier League table, United still have some way to go yet before they can claim a record 21st English league title.

Unless, of course, Solskjaer signs Neville’s recommended targets in Tottenham striker Kane, Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho, and Real Madrid defender Varane.

Asked where his former club would finish with right signings in a Twitter Q&A on Monday night, Neville replied: “Varane, Kane and Sancho = title”.

All three of Neville’s chosen players are linked with moves away from their respective clubs this summer.

Kane, who appears keen to leave Spurs, has reportedly struck interest from both Manchester clubs and Chelsea. Sancho, meanwhile, remains a top target for Solskjaer. And even Varane has been linked with a move to Old Trafford recently.

Alan Shearer is the Premier League’s greatest striker

The former Red Devils defender also named Alan Shearer as the greatest striker in Premier League history.

The Newcastle United and Blackburn Rovers legend is the English league’s record scorer on 260 goals in 441 games.
