The former Red Devils skipper has named one player he would bring to Old Trafford from a rival club this summer.

Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is the man Gary Neville would sign for Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are expected to splash the cash again in the summer for reinforcements. Several players are reportedly on the wishlist, although a new center-back is understood to be a top priority.

Now Neville, who made 602 appearances in the United defense during his career, has backed this belief by suggesting Varane.

During a Twitter Q&A on Friday morning, Neville was asked which player he would sign from a rival club and replied: “Varane”.

Aside from a center-back, Neville also believes Solskjaer needs a new striker and right winger for next season.

Although Ole would’ve been pleased to get the nod over Andy Cole, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Wayne Rooney as the best finisher Neville has played alongside.

The former full-back has even claimed United captain Harry Maguire is the most important player in Solskjaer’s squad.
