Victor Osimhen has missed a couple of games for Napoli due to injury but it appears the club now knows when the striker will be back in action.
Victor Osimhen is a doubt for Napoli’s next three official matches, according to multiple reports in the Italian media.
This coming Sunday makes it exactly a month since the forward last featured in a competitive match.
Osimhen suffered a nasty injury after dislocating his shoulder in the second half of Nigeria’s 4-4 draw with Sierra Leone.
According to reliable RAI journalist Ciro Venerato, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss, the 21-year-old will not be available for his side’s Europa League game with Real Sociedad on Thursday.
In addition, Osimhen is likely to miss Napoli’s next two games in the Serie A against Sampdoria (Dec 13) and Inter Milan (Dec 16).
If his rehabilitation goes right on track, he would be in contention to play when Napoli travel to the Stadio Olimpico to take on Lazio five days before Christmas.
Osimhen has missed the last five matches played by Napoli due to his shoulder injury. In his absence, the Partenopei have managed to win three games, draw one and lost the other.
