The Gunners appear to be on the mission of squad clear-out, having already parted ways with Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Shkodran Mustafi will leave Arsenal by the end of the season, the player’s agent has confirmed.

Mustafi has been used sparingly this season, having fallen down in the pecking order behind Gabriel Maghalaes, David Luiz, Pablo Mari, Rob Holding, and Calum Chambers.

The center-back has been limited to just three Premier League appearances this season, and none of them have been starts. In total, he has featured just nine times in 2020/21.

Reports emerged earlier that the Gunners have planned an early termination of his contract which is set to expire in June. Mesut Ozil and Sokratis Papastathopoulos have already been sold while Sead Kolasinac has also been loaned out, and those at the Emirates want to continue the squad clear-out process.

Mustafi’s agent & father confirms that the player will indeed not be staying at the club beyond June.

“The fact is, Shkodran will leave the club in the summer at the latest,” Kujtim Mustafi told Transfermarkt.

Mustafi joined Arsenal from Valencia back in 2016. He has made over 150 appearances across all competitions since, winning a Football League Cup in the process.
