Mourinho says Ruben Dias fixed Manchester City's problems

Jose Mourinho hailed Ruben Dias’ impact at Manchester City ever since he joined in the summer.

Manchester City have only conceded 10 goals in the 26 matches Ruben Dias featured in. It is clear that the Dias-Stones partnership will help the Citizens go far in all competitions this season. In fact, it is looking like they’ll snatch the Premier League title in a few months’ time.

Ruben Dias has been praised several times before by his teammates, manager, and various pundits. However, we weren’t expecting to see rival coach Jose Mourinho speak so highly of the 23-year-old defender. When asked about how Manchester City had been able to overcome the individual errors they had at the start of the season, Mourinho was convinced there was only one possible explanation.

“City solved that problem easily, and I won’t say anything else. Do you know how they solved their problem? They solved it when they went to Lisbon,” the manager told Sport TV.

Additionally, Mourinho spoke to Sky Sports about his feelings towards the Portuguese defender and the impact he’s had on Pep Guardiola’s side.

“Ruben has an incredible influence on that improvement. I’m very pleased that a very good kid, very humble, very hard working, has arrived in the Premier League and makes the impact that he has made. I’m very, very pleased with that.”
