Jose Mourinho hit out at Gareth Bale’s parent club after the winger reopened his goalscoring account for Tottenham on Sunday.

Gareth Bale came off the bench and guided Tottenham to a narrow 2-1 victory over Brighton and in turn lift them up to second place in the Premier League standings.

The Welshman registered his first goal since making a return to the Premier League over the summer.

After being frozen out of the squad by manager Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, he returned to a familiar environment with the intention of revitalizing his career.

The 31-year old enjoyed immense success during his seven seasons at the Spanish capital but his relationship with the club as well as the fans soured towards the final years.

And after Bale’s match-winning performance against the Seagulls, Jose Mourinho couldn’t help but make a cheeky remark insisting that he was eager to hear the reaction from Real Madrid.

“I’m very pleased for him, especially for him because he deserves that,” Jose Mourinho told post-match, via Daily Mail.

“When I have five minutes I’m going to Safari to look at Madrid websites to see what they say.

“He knows we care about him and we know he cares about us, the team and the club, Spurs. He’s the perfect fit, he’s very calm, very intelligent, he has good feelings.”
