Juventus forward Alvaro Morata finally brought his goal-drought to an end after scoring a fine goal against Spezia on Tuesday night.

Alvaro Morata was back in the goals after coming off the bench to score against Spezia.

His goal gave Juventus the lead in the second half before Chiesa added a second and Ronaldo capped the game off with a record-breaking goal.

It was the first goal for Morata in over 70 days, having failed to score a goal in the last six games for Juventus.

Much recently, the Spanish forward has battled with fitness issues after battling fatigue problems caused by cytomegalovirus.

It took Morata only one minute on the pitch to score, and the 28-year-old says he is back to be on the score-sheet.

“I did miss scoring goals, but above all I missed feeling strong, as for the last three weeks to be honest I’ve not felt good at all. I had to put myself at the disposal of the team because we have so few options available right now,” he said to Sky Sport Italia.

“It’s not an easy season, we are playing every three days and there are big players out for a long period of time. Those aren’t excuses, they are the reality.”

Juventus might feel the title slipping away, being seven points behind leaders Inter at this stage of this season.

Morata has refused to give up hope of a Scudetto just yet as long as a mathematical chance of winning remains.

“We are working to win, if we don’t win this season, then we’ll congratulate the winners, but until there’s a mathematical chance, we’ll give our all on the pitch.”

Up next for Juventus is a crunch clash against Lazio at the weekend.
