Following a failed move to the Catalan capital in January, Alvaro Morata has offered himself to Barcelona once again.

A report from a Spanish media outlet Sport has indicated that Alvaro Morata has put himself on the table for Barcelona ahead of the summer transfer window.

During the January transfer window, Xavi wished to sign the 29-year-old, given his suitable playing style and international experience.

But, a deal could not be cracked between his parent club Atletico Madrid due to certain conditions. Morata, therefore, had to stay intact on loan at Juventus.

However, Diego Simeone does not want the striker in the team now, and Atletico are looking to release the player. On top of that, Juve announced that they do not wish to keep him on a permanent basis.

As a consequence, Morata has offered himself to Barcelona for the new season. It is being said that the Spaniard believes in the project laid out by Xavi.

In fact, the forward has set an ambition to play for Barca until 2025, just like Pierre-Emerick Aubameuang’s agreement. Unfortunately, Atletico did not agree to the terms for sending Morata away as Arsenal did with their former captain.

Morata, even travelled to Madrid with his agent to convince Atletico but the club stood adamant on their decision. Now, he believes that Rojiblancos will allow him to leave him for free in the summer and hope that Barcelona make an approach.

Regardless of that, Morata will have to excel at both club and country levels in the meantime. And wait for summer offers that would set him free from this uncomfortable situation.
