Dortmund set date for Haaland transfer update
Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl thinks the club can expect clarity over Erling Haaland’s future in the upcoming week. Reports have frequently linked the striker with a summer transfer.
Kehl told Sport1 on Sunday: “I know what is in the contract, we are bound by the exit clause. We have tried in the last few months to reach a decision on Erling’s future. But then came the death of [Haaland’s agent] Mino Raiola. Unfortunately, the issue has dragged on a bit. But I think we will have clarity in the next week.”
With a reported €75 million release clause for this summer, Haaland has emerged as a top transfer target for some top European clubs – including Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Rutten turned down a Manchester United role
Former Netherlands midfielder Fred Rutten has turned down an offer to become one of Erik ten Hag’s assistants at Manchester United. He is set to return to PSV Eindhoven instead.
“Erik ten Hag has asked me to be his assistant at Manchester United, I said no,” Rutten told Dutch TV as per the Guardian. “Everyone makes his own choices in life. I have a family, I have grandchildren that I want to see. This type of project, I felt uncomfortable with it.”

Bayern Munich’s latest contract proposal has left Barcelona target Robert Lewandowski feeling unloved.
